The Atlona AT-DP400 is a DVI to Mini DisplayPort converter designed to convert every Mac or PC computer's with a dual link DVI output to a digital signal over a Mini DisplayPort connector. The AT-DP400 is specifically designed to work with iMac 27" which can support resolutions up to 2560x1440. Users can use the connected monitor as their main display or extend their desktop using it in addition to their laptop's screen.

Plug in to MacBook Pro 3,1, plug into Apple 24" LED Cinema Display, everything worked. USB plug is used for power, so no extra power cords/bricks needed (you can even get that power from Cinema Display USB outputs if the cables are long enough). Display looks good. With monitor's USB plugged in, Cinema Display iSight works fine (some apps require you to choose which camera to use, so look for that before deciding it doesn't work), as does the speakers (though I'll still use my Harmon Kardon speakers, the Cinema Display speakers are not great). Also, with the monitor USB plugged in, the 3 USB on the back of the monitor become active, so that's where I keep my keyboard and mouse plugged in. My one complaint is that all of the cables are quite short which severely limits your freedom to locate the box. |
